PRINCETON NJ—The students of Mrs. Coyne’s and Mr. Hartley’s
classes worked together to raise money to adopt a panda cub at the Wolong
Panda Center. The classes voted to name their cub “Oreo”.
The students are going to keep raising money for the entire school year. |

The cost to care for one panda for
a year is $5000.
The money covers the cost of caretaker
staff, veterinary care, medicine and vitamins, and lots
of bamboo.
