Adopts a Panda

PRINCETON NJ—The students of Mrs. Coyne’s and Mr. Hartley’s classes worked together to raise money to adopt a panda cub at the Wolong Panda Center. The classes voted to name their cub “Oreo”. The students are going to keep raising money for the entire school year.

The cost to care for one panda for a year is $5000.

The money covers the cost of caretaker staff, veterinary care, medicine and vitamins, and lots of bamboo.

Your panda will be cared for at the Wolong Panda Research and Conservation Center for the Giant Panda or the Bifxengia Panda Reserve, both in southern China's Sichuan Province, or one of several international zoos under the Wolong program.
