ATTENTION TEACHERS
Part of the mission of Pandas International is to educate the public and particularly school children, about endangered species in general and the plight of the Giant Panda in particular. Every day we hear from schools saying how much they love pandas, but until we start working with them, many do not realize how few pandas remain.

Children are excellent ambassadors about environmental issues, especially in regard to animals. With schools beginning to focus on the concept of global diversity and the inter-relationship between the economic stability of a region and the preservation of animal habitat, children recognize that to work to save a species is the right thing to do for both the animal and themselves, now and in the future.
