Erica Vojnich graduated from Alfred University in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a concentration in Wildlife Art. In 2008 and 2009, Vojnich was approached to create custom art for auctions celebrating Tai Shan's birthday, with proceeds donated to care for pandas around the world. For Vojnich, this experience was a dream come true: "As an artist, I always strive for my work to inspire love and to promote awareness for global concerns. For me, there is no greater symbol for love than Tai Shan. To many, he is a representation of hope and an extraordinary ambassador for his species. I felt privileged to capture the warm emotions that I experienced while in Tai Shan's presence."

Animals have played an important role in Vojnich's family history. Her great-grandfather was an animal trainer in Germany. Through his love for animals, he was granted the chance to be an American citizen, raise a family and achieve the "American Dream." His legacy has inspired Vojnich to create Wildlife Art that promotes awareness. "I hope that my art offers a genuine connection to wildlife that will inspire others to support the protection of endangered species."

The print is a giclée print on 11"x14" fine art paper and the image size is 9.75" x13". The print is $75 and 20% of the sale will be donated to Pandas International to help with the newborn cubs. New Jersey Sales tax will need to be applied to NJ sales. Shipping is $6.50 for the US. Shipping will need to be calculated for International orders.
Inspiring young author works to save the endangered panda

Samantha Lao
At just nine years of age, Samantha Lao wrote her first book, The Scared Panda, during a class she took at the Art League. Illustrated by her father, Roger, The Scared Panda was inspired by Samantha’s love of pandas and as a way to raise money to save this endangered species.

A portion of the sales proceeds will be donated to Pandas International.

If you are interested in purchasing a copy of The Scared Panda, please visit her website at www.samanthalao.com. The book costs $7.99 directly from the publisher AuthorHouse. It also is available for a slightly higher price online at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.
